Perchloric Acid and Perchlorate Compounds

Perchloric Acid

 GFS is the largest producer of Perchloric Acid in North America. Offering 6 different grades of acid (Technical to PPT Trace Metal) and concentrations ranging from 40% to 70%, our quality is the highest in the industry. Whether you are using it as an oxidizer, catalyst, etchant, or analytical reagent – GFS has the product that you need.

 Lithium Perchlorate, anhydrous

       Our “Ultra-Anhydrous” product was created due to our commitment to the lithium battery market. GFS now supplies ton lots with moisture content <200 ppm.

 Magnesium Perchlorate, anhydrous

      One of the most effective desiccants on the market, GFS has been a leading manufacturer since the 1920's. Common for sulfur analyzers this versatile reagent can also be used as a catalyst, battery electrolyte or electrochemical machining solution.

Rare Earth (Lanthanides)

 Ceric Ammonium Nitrate (CAN)

Available in bulk in several grades from commercial to a high purity etchant. The wide range of uses includes oxidative catalyst, etchant for circuit boards and semiconductor applications and UV inhibitor.

Cerous Chloride

GFS manufactures both anhydrous and hydrated materials in tonnage quantity.   Cerous chloride, anhydrous continues to find applications for use as a grignard initiator and in fuel cell development. Both forms are used in the production of organometallic catalysts and some glass production applications.

Ceric and Cerous Nitrate

As a strong oxidizer, it is a good source for Ce⁺³ and Ce⁺⁴. For use in glass and ceramics manufacturing, UV inhibitor, use as an etchant or a catalyst. GFS currently offers bulk solution and hydrated reagent product up to 99.999%.

Various Rare Earth Acetates, Trifluoroacetates and Other Mineral Acid Salts

Used for superconductivity wire and target applications, catalysts, lasers, ceramics and numerous other specialty applications. Yttrium, Erbium, Terbium, Neodymium, etc.

 Lithium Carbonate, high purity

Another high purity product for the pharmaceutical or lithium battery business. High quality material for single oxide crystal production. GFS consistently manufactures ton lots of material with the purity exceeding 99.998%.

 Lithium Iodide

 Much like our Perchlorate, GFS now offers an ultra dry Lithium Iodide for use as a battery electrolyte and versatile catalyst.

Iodic Acid

 Periodic Acid

 Reagent used for selective oxidations in organic synthesis. Also used as iodine source and in silk screen applications. Utilizing electrolytic chemistry, GFS manufactures material with a purity > 99.95% avoiding trace metal impurities to poison synthetic organic reaction mechanisms.  Available in solution or crystalline form.

Potassium Periodate / Sodium Periodate

GFS has a complete line of periodate salts for use in applications within the semiconductor market and anywhere synthetic organic chemistry is performed.
