Lab Reagents - Nanotechnology Oxides
GFS has moved into the world of submicron (nano) technology in two unrelated areas. First, the production of fine, spherical styrene-divinylbenzene co-polymer beads is at the heart of the GFS line of calibration standards that can potentially be applied to any instrument or process that operates on the principles of light scattering, transmittance or absorbance, including turbidity and spectrophotometry.
Second is the use of proprietary flow reactor technology to generate aqueous suspensions of metal oxides, including cerium oxide, in a particle distribution frequently falling below 40 microns. This technology was developed in response to a need in the scientific community for uniform nano-materials as physical standards.
