GFS Chemicals Organic Halogen Reagent (OHR) is also known as Sodium Biphenyl Reagent. The reactive nature of the sodium biphenyl complex ensures complete extraction of any halide species present in organo-halide complexes. This includes pesticides, petrochemicals, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, mixed halides and fluoro-organics. Extraction of the halide into an aqueous layer allows determination via titration, color reagent or ISE. OHR does this effectively for samples that can be dissolved in an inert solvent such as toluene or ether.
