Inorganic Quality Control

The Inorganic Quality Control lab at GFS has both the equipment and the personnel to ensure that all of our products meet the highest standards of quality that our customers have grown to expect.

In March and April 2012, GFS invested in new autotitrators and added 2 new people to our lab to help with supporting the growth that we are seeing in demand of our bulk products.

The Inorganic QC lab currently has five degreed scientists supporting our testing, with two of those chemists possessing Master’s degrees. Our analysts know our products well, and are equally well versed in testing them to the rigorous specifications established by the American Chemical Society (ACS).

To show our dedication to the test methodology that our customers rely on, GFS has also provided a representative to serve on the American Chemical Society’s Reagents Chemicals Committee since 1983. We’re proud to continue this tradition today in order to share both our expertise and technical feedback from the customers that we serve; making sure that ACS specifications and test methods are keeping up with industry requirements.

In the lab at GFS, whether a method involves traditional wet bench testing or instrumental analysis with cutting edge techniques, we have the expertise and equipment to run it accurately and efficiently. In addition to classic wet bench techniques, we also employ the following instrumentation throughout both in-process testing, as well as finished goods testing:

Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES)

 Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)
 Ion Chromatography (IC)
 Karl Fischer Titration (KF)
 Melt Point, pH Meters, Densitometer
Ovens for Loss on Drying (LOD)

We understand that our QC capabilities are just as important as our production capabilities. Knowing that your products have been tested correctly and the Certificate of Analysis is accurate is a critical part of your supply chain.

Our wide variety of analytical techniques allows us to consistently meet your specific needs and requirements.

If you have any questions or would like to hear more about our QC capabilities and ask how we can add value to your critical processes, contact Robert Kramer at rkramer@gfschemicals.com or call (614)-224-5345 ext. 360.
